Terms of Service
Last updated: November 4, 2026
The service
MBoxToPDF converts email files (.eml, .msg, .mbox) that you upload into PDF volumes and related exports (metadata CSV index, per-email PDF ZIP), subject to the limits of your plan. The service is provided as-is; conversion quality depends on the source files, and heavily malformed messages may be flagged or fall back to plain-text rendering.
Your responsibilities
- Only upload email files you own or are authorised to process (for example, mailboxes of your organisation or productions you are engaged to handle).
- Do not upload files that are unlawful for you to possess, or use the service to process other people’s private mail without a lawful basis.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself; you are responsible for conversions run under your account.
Plans, quotas and fair use
Each plan has monthly conversion, file-size and message-count limits, enforced by the server and shown on the pricing page. A conversion that exceeds a limit stops with an explanation and is not charged against your allowance. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, automated mass sign-ups to multiply free quotas).
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Paddle, our merchant of record, and renew automatically until cancelled. Your plan entitlement is determined by the subscription status Paddle reports to our server. Cancelling keeps the plan active until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow the refund policy.
File handling
Uploaded files and generated results are deleted automatically 24 hours after each conversion, as described in the privacy policy. Download your results promptly; after deletion they cannot be recovered and a fresh conversion counts as a new one.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the three months before the claim. The converted volume is a working copy: always retain your original mailbox files as the authoritative record, and verify productions before filing or serving them.
